Russian strike on bus stop and market in Kherson: Prosecutor's Office reports number of victims

Russian troops attacked the center of Kherson with cannon artillery in the morning of October 1. The attack resulted in deaths and injuries.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Shelling of Kherson on October 1
The investigation found that the Russian army attacked the center of Kherson in the morning, at 09:00. They used cannon artillery. The shell hit near a local market and a public transportation stop.
It is currently reported that seven civilians — four men and three women — were killed in the shelling. In addition, three residents were wounded, and are being treated.
Prosecutors are taking all possible measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the Russian Armed Forces. Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated in the criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As a reminder, Russians attack Kherson and the region almost every day. Explosions are heard both during the day and at night. The attacks result in serious damage to civilian and critical infrastructure and civilian casualties.
