On Friday, December 20, information was circulated on the Internet about the presence of certain units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in an operational encirclement near Uspenivka and Trudove. It is known that this is fake, and Ukrainian soldiers have left the settlements.

This was reported by the press service of the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Grouping of Troops via Telegram.

Situation in the area of Uspenivka and Trudove

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi has decided to withdraw units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces from the area to avoid encirclement.

"Military units that have been engaged in heavy defensive battles with superior enemy forces for a long time have made the necessary maneuvers to avoid encirclement and continue to perform operational tasks at the Kurakhove-Konstantynopolske border," the statement said.

The Khortytsia grouping emphasized that the spread of fake information harms the fulfillment of the tasks of the Armed Forces, is actively disseminated by Russian information resources and corresponds to the narratives of the occupiers.

As a reminder, the enemy was most active in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Siverske, Pokrovske and Kurakhove axes.

Russian subversive reconnaissance groups also use the tactic of disguising themselves as Ukrainian Armed Forces to infiltrate Ukrainian positions.
