The General Staff reported 200 military clashes on New Year's Day

Russian invaders attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders almost 200 times during the day, on December 31. The enemy carried out most of the attacks in the Pokrovsk axis.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy is attacking the positions of Ukrainian troops
"In total, 191 combat engagements were registered over the past day," the statement said.
On the Pokrovsk front, the Defense Forces repelled 57 enemy assault and offensive actions. Additionally, over the past day, there was one attack on the Kharkiv front near the settlement of Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces launched seven attacks in one day. In the Lyman sector, the occupiers carried out 19 assaults.
There were also 32 enemy assaults on the Kramatorsk front in the past day.
In the Toretsk direction, the invaders launched 13 attacks, while the Defense Forces repelled 20 assaults on the Kurakhiv front.
On the Vremivka front, Russian forces carried out 11 attacks near Kostyantynopil, Dachne, Rozlyv, Velyka Novosilka, and Neskuchne.
The situation in the Kursk region
The operation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces continues in the Kursk sector. Ukrainian troops repelled 13 enemy attacks yesterday. The invaders made 373 artillery attacks and carried out three air strikes.
Earlier, we reported that the General Staff announced a strike on an oil depot in the Smolensk region of the Russian Federation. Also, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a command center of Russian troops in the Kursk region.
