Number of UAVs downed by the Air Force overnight — report

Russian troops attacked Ukraine with drones on the night of Monday, December 9. Air defense forces operated over the regions, and 18 drones were shot down.

At night, the Russians launched two guided missiles from the airspace over the Black Sea, 37 Shahed strike UAVs and other types of drones from Orel and Prymorsko-Akhtarsk.
As of 8.00 a.m., units of anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and mobile fire groups shot down two X-59/69 guided missiles and 18 enemy UAVs in Sumy, Poltava, Dnipro, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, Ternopil and Odesa regions.
Another 18 drones were lost in the area, one is still in the air, and combat operations are ongoing.
The crash of the downed UAVs in Vinnytsia region damaged the infrastructure of several private companies.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian Air Force has noticed that Russian Shaheds have become uncontrollable, and the quality of drone assembly has deteriorated significantly.
