It is known that on October 18 at 14:38, the occupiers in the Pokrovsk district captured two Ukrainian soldiers. The invaders, who stormed a forest plantation near the city of Selydove, laid unarmed prisoners of war face down. They held them on the ground, pressing them down with their feet, and then shot them at close range with automatic weapons.

The Prosecutor General's Office noted that the killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and qualifies as a grave international crime.

It should be reminded that recently there have been more and more reports of the execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war. There is a suspicion that Russian commanders may encourage the executions of our soldiers.

In addition, on October 13, the occupiers executed nine Ukrainian soldiers who had surrendered in the Kursk region.
