Ukraine is ready to hand over the DPRK's captured soldiers to North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, but under certain conditions. Those North Korean soldiers who do not want to return home will face a different fate.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Facebook on Sunday, January 12.

What awaits captured DPRK soldiers

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine is ready to hand over captured DPRK soldiers to Kim Jong Un only if he can organize their exchange for Ukrainian soldiers held captive in Russia.

"For those soldiers from North Korea who do not want to return, there may be some other ways. In particular, those Koreans who wish to bring peace closer by spreading the truth in Korean about this war will have such an opportunity,"  the President emphasized.

The Head of State added that in addition to the first captured soldiers from North Korea, there will undoubtedly be others.

"It is a matter of time before our guys manage to capture more. And no one in the world should have any doubts that the Russian army is dependent on military assistance from the DPRK," Zelenskyy concluded.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian military had captured two North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region. A short time later, the Special Operations Forces showed a video of the capture of a DPRK soldier.

Later, the Security Service of Ukraine said that the North Korean soldiers were transported to Kyiv, where they are being held in accordance with international law. They do not speak Ukrainian, English or Russian, so communication takes place through interpreters.
