MP Maryana Bezuhla has spread information that the Ukrainian military leadership receives so-called "million bonuses". However, this information is not accurate.

It was reported by the AFU StratCom on Telegram on Thursday, January 23.

What bonuses receive the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

According to the statement, the allegations made by the MP are not correct. They added that the commanders and leaders of the Armed Forces receive an annual bonus fund to encourage personnel with cash bonuses.

"For example, the incentive fund of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2024 amounted to UAH 19 million (USD 452,151.74 — Ed.). Incentive bonuses were paid to 426 servicemen of all categories (soldiers, sergeants, officers)," it was said in the statement.

They also added that the incentive fund of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine last year amounted to UAH 1.8 million (USD 47,594.92 — Ed.). However, in total, a much smaller amount was used to reward 22 servicemen.

"The personnel and other heads of the components of the Defence Forces of Ukraine were also rewarded within the framework of the designated funds. No combat-ready army can function without material incentives for servicemen, both soldiers and officers. And even more so, the Army of the Country, which repels the full-scale invasion," the AFU StratCom noted.

As a reminder, MP Maryana Bezuhla showed the document that indicated the amount of bonuses that the military leadership of Ukraine could receive. According to the published information, some military leaders could allegedly receive millions.

Bezuhla also made a statement that Russians had entered Pokrovsk in Donetsk region. This information was denied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
