Ukraine does not use F-16 fighter jets in offensive operations, pending an increase in the number of destroyers. It helps reduce the burden on ground-based air defense systems.

How Ukraine uses the F-16
The F-16 fighter jets, which the Western allies handed over to Ukraine, are currently used as part of the air defense to combat missiles and drones. This makes it possible to reduce the load on ground systems such as Patriot, said David Jordan of the Freeman Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
According to Jordan, Ukraine is waiting for further deliveries of aircraft and the acquisition of experience by Ukrainian pilots, so the F-16s are not yet involved in the fight against Russian aircraft that launch glide bombs.
Experts are convinced that Western fighters will be able to show their effectiveness in such operations.
It should be recalled that the Minister of Defence of the Netherlands, Ruben Brekelmans, announced the first delivery of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
Previously, we wrote that Defense Minister of Denmark Troels Lund Poulsen said that the country will deliver another batch of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine by the end of this year.
