Oleksandr Syrskyi took part in an extraordinary meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council in a military format. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine discussed the situation at the front with his colleagues from NATO countries.

Oleksandr Syrskyi announced this via Telegram on Friday, January 17.

According to the Commander-in-Chief, the conversation focused on the current situation and further development of the military-strategic situation in 2025.

"I shared with my colleagues from the NATO Military Committee my vision of the enemy's possible plans and our steps to counteract their implementation. I spoke in detail about the military component of our strategy. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue to work on strengthening its strike capabilities on land, in the air, at sea, in information and cyberspace," noted Syrskyi.

He also thanked Allies for their important political, military and technical support. Syrskyi emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces highly appreciate NATO's assistance.

"We have jointly developed effective mechanisms of practical cooperation that will bring practical results on the battlefield," added the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As a reminder, Oleksandr Syrskyi discussed the situation at the front with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces General Charles Brown .

Over the past day, 141 combat engagements took place on the frontline. Pokrovsk remains one of the hottest areas. Russians are trying to seize the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
