Russians executed an injured soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian invaders presumably shot an injured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. An investigation has been started on the fact of the incident.
This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office on Friday, October 18.

A pre-trial investigation has begun in the Donetsk region in criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder.
According to operational data, while performing a combat mission in the Bakhmut district, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was probably wounded. After some time, the invaders broke into the building where the serviceman was and captured him.
The occupiers shot an unarmed soldier who was lying on the ground. Previously, this happened on September 6, 2024, at about 10:00, near the "Phenol Plant" on the territory of the New York village.
The Prosecutor General's Office recalled that the killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and qualifies as a grave international crime.
We previously reported that recently, information about the execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war has begun to appear more and more often. Russian commanders are probably encouraging the executions of our fighters.
In its turn, Russian propaganda Z-channels began to justify and even praise the execution of captured fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Russian army.
