More than 280 targets — what Russia attacked Ukraine with today
On Friday, December 13, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine again. The enemy launched attack drones and missiles of various types.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force via Telegram.
Massive shelling of Ukraine
The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that from 2:00 p.m. on December 12 to 10:00 a.m. on December 13, the occupiers carried out a combined air attack on Ukraine.
Radar troops detected 287 targets: 94 missiles and 193 drones. The invaders launched:
- four X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from MiG-31K fighters;
- two Iskander-M ballistic missiles;
- one KN-23 ballistic missile;
- 55 X-101 and X-55SM cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers;
- 24 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- seven "Iskander-K" cruise missiles;
- one X-59/X-69 guided missile;
- 193 Shahed attack UAVs and unidentified drones.
The enemy attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups, and F-16s.
The following are known to be downed:
- 80 X-101/X-55SM/Kalibr/Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- one Iskander-M ballistic missile;
- 80 attack UAVs of the "Shahed" type and unidentified drones.
"In addition, 105 enemy drones did not reach their targets due to active opposition from the Defense Forces (lost in the area), five returned to Russia, and one returned to Belarus," the statement said.
The Air Force added that Russia's attack was mainly aimed at Ukraine's energy facilities.
As a reminder, on December 13, the occupiers attacked Odesa region, resulting in destruction and damage to property.
The enemy also fired at Kharkiv region. It is known about the wounded in the village of Myrne Berestynske.
