The United States Department of Defense has allowed its own contractors to repair military hardware on the territory of Ukraine. This concerns weapons transferred by Western partners.

Reuters writes about this on Friday, November 8.

It is believed that this means a noticeable change in the policy of the administration of current US President Joe Biden.

This will allow for the rapid restoration and maintenance of American weapons directly in Ukraine without wasting time on transportation to European bases.

However, a number of restrictions will remain:

•    the number of contractors is limited;
•    they will be located far from the front line;
•    they will not engage in combat operations.

It should be recalled that on November 1, the United States announced a new package of military assistance to Ukraine. Its cost is $425 million.

In addition, Norway will provide Ukraine with new military aid. In particular, we are talking about F-16 fighters and NASAMS systems.
