Who is the most difficult to take out of captivity — Zelenskyy
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that it is not the soldiers of the armed forces who are the most difficult to return, but the children who were treacherously kidnapped by the Russian occupiers. Russia is doing everything it can to keep little Ukrainians by force.
This was stated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address.
How the occupiers keep Ukrainian children
According to Zelenskyy, the Russians hide Ukrainian children, do not allow them to communicate with their families, and place them in local families. The President of Ukraine said that it is currently impossible to calculate exactly how many children have been taken by the occupiers.
"We know about tens of thousands. These are very young children and teenagers. Those who have relatives in Ukraine. And those whose relatives, unfortunately, were killed by Russian attacks," Zelenskyy said.
He added that in captivity, not only years, but every day matters. Every effort that helps to free our people also matters.
"This week, Canada hosted a conference on the peace formula clause, which is dedicated to our task of bringing home all Ukrainian prisoners, all our deported and abducted Ukrainians. Every exchange of prisoners is a success. Every child who has returned home to Ukraine," is a blessing.
Earlier, we wrote that Zelenskyy reacted to Russian strikes on Ukraine on November 2. He said that the pressure on Russia and its allies was not enough.
As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a payment of one thousand hryvnias to all Ukrainians. It will be provided exclusively for use in winter.
