Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski met in Warsaw with the EU High Representative Josep Borrell on Tuesday, November 12. The day before, Borrell visited Ukraine and managed to spend the morning in shelter due to the Russian attack.

PAP wrote about this on Tuesday, November 12.

EU support for Ukraine

Borrell noted that Poland has always been a leader in providing Ukraine with the necessary defense in the war against Russia, and emphasized that the country "needs support at this critical moment".

According to him, this issue, among others, will be discussed by EU ministers at the next meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council on November 18.

"There cannot be a situation where the Americans act and the Europeans only react. We must take responsibility ourselves. We must assure Ukraine that our support will continue, but this requires adequate resources and determination. This requires political will and, above all, financial resources," Borrell said.

In his opinion, it is extremely important to increase the amount of financial assistance to Ukraine.

In turn, Sikorsky added that the war will not end if Ukraine stops defending itself. It will end when Russia stops attacking.

Previously, Borrell claimed that sending North Korean troops to Russia would affect the EU's decision to send instructors to Ukraine.

We also wrote that the EU revealed details of the military trainings for Ukrainian defenders in Germany. In particular, Soviet tanks from museums are used to recreate real combat operations.
