Zelenskyy responded to the offer of freezing the war
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the offer of freezing the war against the Russian occupiers. He spoke out against it and emphasized that we cannot simply forget everything.
The Ukrainian leader said this in an interview with Le Parisien on Wednesday, December 18.
Freezing the war in Ukraine
The Head of State noted that it would not be possible to quickly end the war at the expense of Ukraine. Zelenskyy emphasized that the state would not simply give up its independence.
According to him, Ukrainians will not forgive Russian dictator Vladimir Putin for all his murders, as they respect international law.
"We cannot simply forget everything that happened. There is the danger when they say: "Let's just freeze the war, and then we will negotiate with the Russians". No. We are not going to forgive Putin anything," Zelenskyy added.
As a reminder, on December 18, Zelenskyy arrived in Brussels for negotiations with European partners.
In addition, after the ending of the war, Zelenskyy plans to devote more time to his family and loved ones.
