The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a conversation with the commanders of the 65th and 118th Separate Mechanized Brigades, as well as the 128th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade. According to him, the topic was the quality of combat work and the necessary conditions for positive results at the front line.

Zelenskyy reported this via his Telegram channel on Thursday, December 12.

What the President talked about with the commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

"The main issue is the training of our military. Changes are needed in training centers, modernization of this system. There should be an opportunity to undergo basic military training under the guidance of brigade instructors and commanders, with whom our soldiers will perform combat missions," he noted.

Zelenskyy added that detailed attention was also paid to the provision of drones and work with them. He emphasized that currently, there are all the necessary instructions from the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Defense to close the urgent needs of the units.

The topic was also the development of a system for countering enemy reconnaissance drones, where, as the President noted, there are already successful results. They only need to be scaled up, he said.

The Head of State said that the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, Pavlo Palisa, will be in constant communication with combat commanders.

"We must achieve maximum results on all matters. The experience of combat brigades must be taken into account when making decisions at all levels," the President said.

It should be recalled that on December 12, Zelenskyy congratulated the fighters on the Day of the Ground Forces. He noted their role in ensuring the country's defense.

Previously, the Head of State said that Ukraine will not recognize the temporarily occupied territories as part of Russia.
