Zelenskyy named new North Korean losses in Kursk region
Ukrainian soldiers launched an operation in Kursk region in August 2024 and are still there. The Defence Forces are actively eliminating the enemy on their own territory.
It was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his speech in Davos on Tuesday, January 21.
DPRK losses in Kursk region
According to Zelenskyy, Russian dictator Putin wanted to drag another country into the conflict. That is why the North Korean military was sent to Kursk region.
"The Russian Federation did not have enough forces to push us out. Today there are more than 60,000 Russian troops there (in Kursk region — Ed.). In addition, there were 12,000 North Koreans, four thousand of whom were killed," the Head of State claimed.
As a reminder, Ukrainian soldiers in Kursk region captured a DPRK soldier. The Korean was wounded and wanted to commit suicide to avoid being taken by the Defence Forces.
Russians tried to launch a large-scale attack in Kursk region. The units of the 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade "Magura", together with the adjacent forces of the Defence Forces, repelled the invaders’ assault.
