Ukraine is capable of creating long-range drones. Their range is up to 1,800 kilometers, and the drones are able to reach deep into Russian territory.

This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Mykhailo Fedorov, during an interview with Reuters.

Drone production in Ukraine

According to Fedorov, next year Ukraine will need tens of thousands of terrestrial drone to deliver ammunition and infantry reserve in trenches and to evacuate the injured soldiers.

"This year we have purchased several thousand ground platforms, and next year, I believe, we need tens of thousands," he said.

The Minister said that these drones are already being used at the front line and in the Kursk region.

Fedorov noted that Ukraine has focused on increasing production and improving the technical characteristics of long-range strike drones.

Currently, Ukrainian drones can already cover a distance of up to 1,800 kilometers. Thus, Ukraine is reducing the gap in capabilities with its enemy.

Previously, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is increasing its own production of cannons and artillery shells.

And according to the head of the Ministry of Defense, Rustem Umerov, Ukraine has successfully scaled up the serial production of advanced "Neptune" missiles.
