Ukraine has limited strikes with ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles deep into the territory of the Russian Federation due to their shortage. In general, no more than fifty such missiles remained in the arsenal of Ukrainian soldiers.

This was reported by The New York Times.

Ukraine has limited strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation

After Ukraine received permission to strike with ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles deep into Russia, it had no more than 50 of these missiles left. After the first flurry of attacks, Ukraine significantly reduced their use.

American officials told the media that this indicates that the missiles are running out. At the same time, Ukraine should not rely on replenishing the reserves in the foreseeable future.

Senior US and NATO officials said that the long-range strikes were effective, but also noted that Ukraine could have been more judicious in the number of missiles used and more selective in its choice of targets.

It is also worth noting that the strikes deep into the aggressor country did not lead to an escalation from Moscow, as some of Ukraine’s allies had feared.

The US officials believe that Putin is trying to avoid escalating military operations in Ukraine with the election of Trump, taking into account Russia’s recent successes on the battlefield.

Previously, we reported that Ukraine has received another large package of military aid from Germany. It includes a wide range of modern weapons and hardware, including air defense systems.

We also wrote that the administration of the US President Joe Biden will announce the latest package of military aid to Ukraine in the coming days.
