Strike in Ternopil region — an important power plant is damaged
On the night of Tuesday, November 26, Russian troops attacked the Ternopil region. As a result, an energy infrastructure facility was hit.
This was reported by Viacheslav Nehoda, the head of the Regional Military Administration.
Damage to the energy sector
According to the RMA, the damaged power facility provided electricity to almost the entire region. As a result of the strike, 70% of the region had lost power supply.
"Initially, 70% of the coverage area was left without power. By the start of the workday, Ternopiloblenergo and other technical services had done everything possible to connect to other systems passing through our region, and most of the power supply was restored," said Nehoda.
Earlier, the head of the Ternopil Regional State Administration said on Ranok.LIVE that backup power had already been supplied to key facilities, but that full restoration would take a long time.
In addition, residents of Ternopil reported interruptions in water supply.
