DIU explains why Shahed plants have not been destroyed yet
Plants that produce Shahed and other attack drones in the Russian Federation are located at a fairly large distance from Ukraine. It is difficult to attack them with long-range drones, and more powerful weapons are needed.
Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, told this to Novyny.LIVE.
"It’s not very easy to reach these factories. The same Elabuga or Rzhev plant — they are located at a very great distance and have time to take security measures. After all, by the time our UAV arrives, it takes more than one or even four hours," Skibitsky clarified.
He also said that such strikes require more powerful weapons. After all, drone production areas cover a fairly large area, and it is a difficult task to destroy the entire production in one strike.
"There are other measures known as non-kinetic. These include sanctions, cyber strikes, and informational actions aimed at reducing or halting this production in the long term. But I repeat — this is not easy," concluded the Deputy Head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
On the night of November 26, Russia attacked Ukraine with drones and ballistic missiles. Air defense forces shot down 76 enemy objects out of 192 launched. The rest were lost on location.
And Ukrainian intelligence officers showed the drones used to attack the military targets of the Russian occupiers. It is known that the training is carried out in several stages.
