The security situation in Kherson region remains very difficult. The enemy continues massive regular shelling. On average, up to 40 settlements come under enemy fire per day.

This was stated by the first deputy chairman of the regional council, Yurii Sobolevskyi, on Den.LIVE.

What does Russia use to shell Kherson region?

According to him, the enemy is using artillery, MLRS, unguided munitions, mortar systems and drones. As of now, there are five people who were wounded as a result of a drone attack.

"In addition, terror tactics continue in terms of remote mining with anti-personnel mines using the same drones at night. The invaders will especially try to mine the places where there are large numbers of people, such as public transport stops and roads," noted Sobolevskyi.

The deputy chairman of the regional council noted that the Russians are well aware that they are not working on military targets, military deployments or decision-making centers.

"At the same time, our forces have had many victories over the past week in eliminating Russian drone crews," Sobolevskyi said.

To recap, on the night of January 22, the occupiers attacked Mykolaiv with attack drones. Two people were injured, and the destruction of houses was recorded.
