Poland takes to the skies due to Russian attack on Ukraine

Poland has activated all means of its air defense forces. This decision was made because of Russia's attack on Ukraine's with various air weaponry.

"Attention, due to another attack of the Russian Federation, which, inter alia, carried out attacks with cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles on facilities located in the western part of Ukraine, the operation of military aviation in our airspace has begun.
In accordance with the procedures in force, the RSZ Operational Commander has activated all available forces and resources at his disposal, stand-by fighter pairs have been scrambled, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have been brought to the highest state of readiness," the statement said.
The statement noted that the measures taken were only to protect those areas of Poland under the threat of missile strikes.
As a reminder, Russia has launched a powerful attack on Ukraine with various air assets. According to the the Krakiv Regional Military Administration, there are already wounded in Kharkiv. Meanwhile, Ukrenergo has warned Ukrainians about changes in the schedules of power outages for today, December 13, which will be longer due to the Russian attack.
