Damage to Russian oil depot and Buk-M3 confirmed — General Staff
On the night of November 29, Ukrainian defense forces struck the Russian Atlas oil depot and destroyed a Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system radar station in Zaporizhzhia region. The task was performed by several units at once.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Atlas oil depot under attack
The General Staff said that the affected Atlas oil depot is located in the Rostov region of Russia. As a result of the hit, a fire broke out on the territory of the facility, with at least two fire centers. The agency also noted that this summer, the tank farm was already attacked by the Defense Forces.
"Atlas is a part of the Russian military-industrial complex that supplies petroleum products to the Russian army," the statement said.
Destruction of the Russian Buk-M3 air defense system
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in addition to the destruction of the oil depot, a radar station of the Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed as part of the tasks to detect and eliminate Russian air defense assets. The target was located in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region.
"The task was carried out by units of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces," the statement said.
On November 29, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian soldiers had destroyed the Russian Zoopark radar complex. It is worth 1 billion hryvnias or $24 million.
In addition, a few days ago, the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit a Russian army S-400 system in the Kursk region. This unit of the Russian Armed Forces conducted combat operations in the "ground-to-ground" mode.
