Number of UAVs shot down over Ukraine at night — Air Force report

Ukrainian Ukrainian air defense forces shot down most of the enemy drones at night. In total, the Russians fired 81 UAVs at Ukraine.

How many drones were shot down over Ukraine

According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 51 enemy drones were shot down over Ukraine on the night of December 18. As a result of active counteraction by the Defense Forces, 30 enemy imitator drones were lost in the area.

"Air defense systems were operating in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia regions," the statement said.

No hits were recorded. There was no information on damage or casualties.

As a reminder, Russians shelled the border community of in Chernihiv region. A civilian man died as a result of the shelling.

Over the last day, December 17, a total of 199 combat engagements took place in the frontline. The situation at the front remains tense. Russians are using their superiority in manpower and equipment to attack Ukrainian military positions.
