The General Staff of AFU named the hottest frontline direction

Between October 24 and 25, a total of 187 combat clashes took place at the frontline. The Russian military is attacking the positions of Ukrainian units and continuously firing at civilians with various types of weapons.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook on Friday, October 25.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 187 combat clashes were recorded over the past day. During this time, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck a UAV control center, an ammunition depot, four personnel concentration areas, an air defense system, four enemy artillery units, and another key target of the occupiers.

Situation at the front — main directions

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy attacked eight times near Vovchansk and Starytsia.

In the Kupyansk sector, 14 attacks took place over the last day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Holubivka, Pishchane, Lozova, Kruhliakivka, Novoosynove, Kolisnykivka and Vyshneve.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 23 times. He tried to break into the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense near Druzheliubivka, Katerynivka, Hrekivka, Tverdokhlibove, Terny, Zarichne, Torske and Serebrianka.

In the Siverskyi sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack by Russian invaders near Vyimka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked twice in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Predtechyne.

In the hottest sector, the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 55 assault and offensive actions by the aggressor near Myroliubivka, Krutyi Yar, Novotoretske, Lysivka, Krasnyi Yar, Mykolaivka, Sukhyi Yar, and Mykhailivka. The main efforts of the enemy’s attacks were concentrated on the settlements of Selydove and Promin.

In the Kurakhove direction, Defense Forces repelled 20 attacks. The occupiers were most active in attempting to advance near Novodmytrivka, Zoryane, Kreminna Balka, Novomykolaivka, Maksymilyanivka, Antonivka, Katerynivka, Kostiantynivka, Novoselydivka, and Hostre.

In the Vremivka direction, the enemy carried out eight assaults on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in the areas of Bohoiavlenka and Novoukrainka, actively using bomber aircraft to strike in this direction.

With air support in the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian defense positions near Novodanylivka and Novoandriivka four times over the past day.

In the Prydniprovske direction, occupiers attempted three times, unsuccessfully, to push Defense Forces units from their positions.

Operations continue in the Kursk region. Over the past day, Russian aircraft conducted 23 airstrikes, and enemy artillery carried out over a hundred shelling attacks.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, there are no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups. However, along the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy is actively using artillery and aviation from Russian territory to target Ukrainian settlements.

Occupiers' losses for October 24

Over the past day, Russian occupiers suffered losses of 1,630 personnel. Additionally, Ukrainian forces neutralized seven tanks, 33 armored combat vehicles, 34 artillery systems, two MLRS, one air defense system, 73 tactical-level UAVs, 79 vehicles, and 22 units of specialized equipment.

As a reminder, the Firebird FPV Special Unit of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (GUR) is actively engaged in battles against Russian occupiers, delivering heavy losses to the enemy through targeted strikes.

Earlier, Novyny.LIVE reported that U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stated that since the start of the full-scale invasion, the losses among occupiers have reached hundreds of thousands. Currently, Russia is compelled to reactivate military equipment dating back to World War II.
