The number of UAVs launched by Russia in October was announced

In October, the Russian occupiers used 2,023 strike UAVs to hit civilian and military targets in Ukraine. This number includes Shahed drones and unmanned aerial vehicles of unknown type.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram on Friday, November 1.

How many drones did the Russian Federation launch in October

Of the more than two thousand drones that Russia used to strike Ukraine in October, 1,185 were neutralized by Ukrainian defenders, 738 UAVs were lost in location, and another 29 drones left the controlled airspace of Ukraine.

In total, since the beginning of 2024, the enemy has launched 6,987 strike UAVs over the territory of Ukraine. Mostly, enemy drones targeted civilian and critical infrastructure of Ukraine.

"Thanks to the professionalism and skills of the AFU soldiers, thousands of our people lives were saved from Russian air terror, hundreds of Ukrainian houses and important state facilities were saved from destruction.

Anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups continue to defend the Ukrainian sky around the clock", the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated.

As a reminder, on the night of October 31, explosions were heard in Kyiv during an air alarm. The region was attacked by Shahed drones.

Novyny.LIVE also wrote that explosions were heard in Kharkiv on the night of November 1. Before that, the Air Force warned about the activity of enemy aircraft and the launch of aerial bombs.
