Syrskyi answered whether there is a chance to hold Pokrovsk

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, claimed that the Russian invaders are doing everything possible to seize Pokrovsk. For their part, the Defence Forces are making every effort to prevent it. 

Syrskyi claimed it in an interview with the TSN.

"I want to say this — the enemy is making every effort to seize Pokrovsk. We are doing everything to defend it and prevent its seizure. Do not forget that some "prophets" said that we would lose Pokrovsk on September 30," Syrskyi noted.

The Commander-in-Chief also reminded that after Pokrovsk held out in September, there were predictions that it would fall by October 30, which also did not come true.

Syrskyi also added that the Russian invaders were concentrating their best units in Pokrovsk. The enemy has the ability to change military units on the front line, as it currently has a greater potential for offensive actions. 

The Commander-in-Chief also emphasized that the losses of the invaders far exceed those of the Ukrainian Defenders.

In addition, Syrskyi spoke about the attacks by the Defence Forces on targets in Russia. He explained that thanks to these operations, it was possible to halve the amount of ammunition the enemy was launching at Ukraine.

Syrskyi explained how the Ukrainian Defence Forces plan to counter Russian intermediate-range ballistic missiles Oreshnik. Currently, there are several Air Defence Systems in the world that can intercept such targets.
