Defense forces attack Russian oil depot and aviation plant

On the night of January 21, the defense forces struck an oil depot in the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation and an aircraft plant in the Smolensk region. Attacks continue on the command and control centers of the Russian invasion army.

Explosions in Russia on January 21

The General Staff said that last night the Defense Forces attacked a number of important occupiers' facilities in Russia. For example, for the second time in a week, Special Operations Forces drones struck the Liskinskaya oil depot in Voronezh region.

"As a result of the strike, which was carried out in cooperation with other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, tanks with fuel and lubricants used by the occupiers to supply Russian troops are on fire. The enterprise belongs to one of the largest Russian state corporations Rosneft," the statement said.

In addition, the Defense Forces, in particular the Unmanned Systems Forces and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, hit the infrastructure of the Smolensk Aviation Plant in the Smolensk region, where combat aircraft are modernized and manufactured. Explosions were heard on the territory of the plant.

The General Staff added that the Ukrainian military continues to hit Russian army command posts. In particular, they struck the command post of the 29th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied Volnovakha in Donetsk region. There is information about explosions and smoke in the area of the target.

"Targeted and systematic struggle to increase the effect of sanctions pressure on key targets of the Russian invaders will continue until the end of the Russian armed aggression against our country," the ministry said.

As a reminder, on January 18, the Defense Forces struck an oil depot in the Tula region. Furthermore, facilities within the temporarily occupied territories were attacked.

At the same time, on January 11, the Ukrainian military attacked an oil depot in the Russian city of Engels.It took more than four days for the fire to be extinguished.
