The Security Service of  Service of Ukraine intercepted conversations of the Russian occupiers about the losses of DPRK troops in the Kursk region. They indicate a large number of wounded North Korean soldiers.

This was reported by the SSU press service via Telegram on Wednesday, December 18.

DPRK losses in the war in Ukraine

For example, the Defense Forces are inflicting serious losses on Russian and North Korean units in the Kursk region.

An intercepted recording of a conversation between a nurse at a hospital in the Moscow region and her husband in a military says that more than 200 wounded DPRK soldiers were brought to the hospital in just a few days.

"Yesterday there was a train with about 100 people. Today there are 120 more, which totals to 200. How many more are there? Only God knows," she said.

The woman also noted that Russian soldiers are treated in worse conditions than North Korean soldiers — their rooms are given to DPRK soldiers.

"Are they elite or what, these Koreans? We are freeing up some specific rooms for them," the woman said.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia is already using North Korean soldiers for assaults. At the moment, it is only the Kursk region.

The NYT reported that Russia is paying North Korea for its participation in the war with oil, food, and weapons modernization. The DPRK is also testing its own missiles in Ukraine.
