The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense reacted to the report that the Russian occupiers are preparing a massive shelling of Ukraine. They emphasized that Moscow is conducting massive informational and psychological attack.

The press service of the MID of the Ministry of Defense reported this via Telegram on Wednesday, November 20.

Occupiers' informational and psychological attack

"A message about the threat of a "particularly massive" missile and bomb strike on Ukrainian cities today is being spread through messengers and social networks, allegedly on behalf of the MID," the report says.

The MID emphasized that this message is a fake, which contains grammatical mistakes which are typical for enemy information and psychological operations.

Ukrainians were urged to trust information only from official sources and from Ukrainian intelligence spokespeople.

"The enemy, unable to subdue Ukrainians by force, resorts to intimidation and psychological pressure on society. We ask people to be vigilant and unshakable," the MID emphasized.

The intelligence service noted that it is not worth ignoring air alarms — it is safer to wait in shelter. They urged not to panic.

As a reminder, Spain, Greece and Italy decided to close their embassies in Kyiv on November 20 due to the possible threat of a massive attack on Ukraine. This decision was made after a similar step of the United States.

However, the US diplomats stated that the increased security measures were not related to the Russian's escalation of nuclear rhetoric.
