Russians attacked Ukrainian thermal power plants — the aftermath

In the morning of December 25, Russian occupiers attacked Ukrainian thermal power plants. The enemy seriously damaged the equipment.

This was reported by DTEK 's press service via Telegram.

The invaders have launched another massive attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

"As a result of the massive attack, the equipment of the thermal power plant was seriously damaged. After the end of the shelling, the power company promptly began to eliminate the consequences and restore the equipment," the message reads.

DTEK noted that this is the 13th massive attack on the Ukrainian energy sector in 2024.

In total, since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, DTEK's thermal power plants have been attacked more than 200 times.

As a reminder, on the morning of December 25, the Russian occupiers massively attacked Ukraine's energy sector. Necessary measures were taken to limit consumption to minimize the negative consequences.

In addition, at least seven explosions occurred in Kharkiv in the morning. Three people were injured in the attack.
