Two civilians were injured by a Russian mine explosion in Kherson region. They were seriously injured.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

Explosion on a Russian mine

The incident occurred in Antonivka near a public transportation stop. A local resident picked up a suspicious object from the ground, which turned out to be explosive and detonated.

The 59-year-old woman sustained a serious explosive injury — amputation of her hand and foot, multiple shrapnel wounds to her legs. She was hospitalized in a serious condition.

A 61-year-old man was also wounded — he sustained blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to his back. He is also hospitalized.

The Kherson Regional Military Administration emphasizes not to pick up or approach suspicious objects. If you find them, call 101 or 102 immediately.

As a reminder, an elderly man recently stepped on a mine in Kherson Oblast. President Zelensky also responded to the Russian attack on Kherson, which the occupiers carried out on October 1.
