Russia's new ballistic complex Kedr — details from DIU
On November 21, the Russian occupation army struck at the territory of Ukraine, in particular, at Dnipro, using a ballistic missile, probably from the Kedr missile system. The missile had six warheads.
This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine on Friday, November 22.
What is known about the Russian "Kedr" missile system
The DIU said that the flight time of this Russian missile from the moment of launch in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation to the impact in the city of Dnipro was 15 minutes.
"Six warheads were installed on the missile — each warhead was equipped with six submunitions. The speed on the final section of the trajectory is more than 11 Mach", the report says.
According to intelligence, a number of enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Russia are involved in the development of the Kedr mobile missile system:
- JSC Corporation Moscow Institute of Heat Engineering (Moscow);
- JSC Federal Research and Production Center Titan-Barricades (Volgograd);
- JSC Main Special Design Bureau Prozhektor (Moscow);
- JSC Concern Sozvezdiye (Voronezh);
- JSC Research and Production Enterprise Spetsenergomechanika (Moscow);
- LLC Research Center for Special Equipment and Conversion Continent (Moscow).
It is also known that the tests of this missile system took place at the "4th State Central Interspecies Test Site of the Russian Federation" (Kapustin Yar, Astrakhan region) in October 2023 and June 2024.
" The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reminds that every war crime committed against the Ukrainian people will be punished with due and just retribution," the intelligence emphasized.
As a reminder, on November 21, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that Russia had launched an intercontinental ballistic missile at Ukraine for the first time. The occupiers struck at Dnipro.
