How many wounded get back to the front — Medical Forces
The Commander of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Anatolii Kazmirchuk, said that 70% of wounded servicemen return to the war. He emphasized that the situation may differ in different parts of the frontline.
Kazmirchuk said this in an interview with Ukrinform on Friday, October 11.
Wounded return to service
"According to our data, more than 70% of wounded soldiers return to service. These are average statistics," explained Kazmirchuk.
He added that the figures may differ in different areas of the frontline. These 70% of servicemen are, in fact, the main backbone of the military contingent, the Major General added.
Earlier, we reported that Ukrainian soldiers may be injured or fall ill during combat operations, which entitles them to financial assistance. The amount of such payments can reach UAH 20 thousand.
As a reminder, in Ukraine, servicemen and women who have been injured in the war may not receive financial payments. This can happen for several reasons.
