Two European countries consider deployment of troops in Ukraine
A senior NATO official said that the United Kingdom and France are considering deploying their troops to Ukraine. In this way, they want to guarantee security in the event of negotiations with Russia.

Deployment of troops in Ukraine
One option for ensuring security in the event of peace talks with Russia is the deployment of French and British troops in Ukraine. They would be stationed on the line of contact and monitor the ceasefire.
According to a NATO official, countries are talking about this separately, not at the NATO level. They are trying to prepare options for different scenarios in order to have ready-made options to support Ukraine in case the US asks how European countries can help.
The development of specific options is also necessary to ensure that European allies participate in the peace talks between Ukraine and Russia mediated by the administration of the newly elected US President Donald Trump.
To recap, the new president of the European Council, Antonio Costa, arrived in Kyiv on a visit to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
A Novyny.LIVE correspondent attended the press briefing of the EU representative and the Ukrainian president and named the main topics of the meeting.
