Last night, explosions were heard near the Belbek and Saky military airfields in Russian-occupied Crimea. Local residents report more than ten explosions heard even in Simferopol and Chervonohvardiskyi districts.

This information is provided by the Telegram channel "Crimean wind".

What do we know at the moment

According to witnesses and subscribers to the channel, the explosions began at half past midnight. They were clearly heard in the Saky neighborhood. There were also shots from large-caliber weapons.

Then a second series of explosions began. An anonymous source told the channel that there was at least one hit in the area of the Novofedorivka airfield.

The alarm also sounded in military units in Sevastopol. Aviation was raised in the sky, but, as the channel's authors assume, this was most likely done to prevent the planes from being hit.

At 1 a.m. a large fire broke out near the Belbek airfield. Some Z-pages also suggest that this was the Ukrainian Armed Forces' way of "congratulating" Putin on his birthday.

As a reminder, the Russian invaders are preparing to attack the Crimean bridge. The occupiers have built up their defenses.

Also, the destruction of Russian S-300 systems in the temporarily occupied Crimea by the Ukrainian military forced the enemy to change the tactics of attacks on Zaporizhzhia. Russians began to use guided aerial bombs.
