Russia is deploying troops from the DPRK

As Reuters writes, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans said that their reconnaissance confirms that Russia has deployed at least 1,500 soldiers from North Korea to participate in the war against Ukraine.

Moscow has not denied previous US statements that North Korea has sent troops to Russia, and the West views this step as a significant escalation of the war.

"We expect that the troops will be mainly deployed in Kursk and will consist mainly of special units of the North Korean army," Brekelmans said.

The Dutch Minister of Defense added that the first deployment was a way for Russia to test the troops and assess the international reaction.

It should be recalled that in addition to ground troops, the DPRK sent fighter pilots to Russia who will take part in hostilities against Ukraine.

Novyny.LIVE also wrote that the US Department of Defense confirmed the arrival of DPRK troops to Russia. As noted in the Pentagon, there is evidence that DPRK troops are on the territory of the aggressor state.
