General Staff data on the number of clashes at the front

Over the last day, there were 139 combat engagements in the frontline. The occupiers concentrated their attacks primarily on the Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, and Lyman sectors.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Wednesday, November 20.

Situation at the front as of November 20

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy made 5 unsuccessful attempts to breach the defenses of our troops near Vovchansk.  

In the Kupiansk direction, there were 11 enemy attacks over the past day. Defense forces repelled assaults near Kindrashivka, Lozova, Petropavlivka, Zahryzove, Pershotravneve, and Kruhliakivka. The enemy actively employed aviation in this area.  

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 14 times, attempting to break through our defenses near the settlements of Hrekivka, Novoyehorivka, Hryhorivka, Torske, and Terny. Additionally, one skirmish occurred in the Kramatorsk direction near the village of Stupochky.

In the Toretsk direction, the occupiers actively utilized bomber aircraft. Over the past day, the enemy launched 8 attacks near Toretsk, Druzhba, and Shcherbynivka.  

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders repelled 38 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of Promin, Lysivka, Petrivka, Dachenke, Myroliubivka, Novotoretske, Yurivka, Pustynka, and Pushkyne.

In the Kurakhove direction, Defense Forces repelled 23 attacks. The occupiers were most active in attempting to advance in the areas of Novoselydivka, Sontsivka, Berestky, Kurakhove, Dalnie, Yelyzavetivka, and Antonivka.  

In the Vremivka direction, with aviation support, the enemy conducted 15 assaults on our positions near Kostyantynopolske, Trudove, Sukhi Yaly, Rozdolne, and Novodarivka.  

In the Orikhiv direction, the occupiers made one unsuccessful attack toward Novoandriivka.  

In the Prydniprovske direction, our defenders halted two attempts by Russian forces to advance. The occupiers faced fierce resistance, suffered losses, and were forced to retreat.  

"Our troops are inflicting significant losses on the occupying forces in manpower and equipment while actively undermining the enemy’s offensive potential in their rear," emphasized the General Staff.

Occupiers' losses over the past day

In total, the Russian invaders' losses amounted to 1,690 people over the last day. Ukrainian troops also neutralized:

• 8 tanks;
• 27 armored combat vehicles;
• 49 artillery systems;
• 2 air defense systems;
• 91 operational and tactical UAVs;
• 2 cruise missiles;
• 100 vehicles;
• 2 units of special equipment of the occupiers.

As a reminder, on November 20, the defense Intelligence of Ukraine reported that the command post of the "Sever" military grouping was hit in the city of Gubkin, Belgorod region.

And on the night of November 19, the Ukrainian military attacked ammunition depots in the Bryansk region with ATACAMS missiles.
