President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that during the briefing, Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on the overall frontline situation and the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions. Currently, the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions are the most challenging.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the newly appointed Commander of the Land Forces Mykhailo Drapaty and Deputy Chief of the Army Oleh Apostol had already started performing their tasks.

"We expect their service to be effective in their new positions, and this will directly affect the combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the head of state said.

As a reminder, the commander of the Third Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine recently made a statement about the preparation of Russian troops for a new large-scale offensive in the Zaporizhzhia sector.

Later, the spokesperson for the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration responded to this information and said that it was not true.
