Russia massively attacks residential areas in Kherson

On Friday morning, December 20, powerful explosions were heard in Kherson. Russian occupation forces struck numerous residential areas of the city. Apartment buildings were damaged and civilians were injured.

This was reported by the Head of Kherson City Military Administration Roman Mrochko.

Russia shells apartment buildings in Kherson

As of 07:34 on December 20, six people were reported wounded. A 76-year-old man who sustained mine-blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to the chest is currently in serious condition in a hospital.

Another victim, a 63-year-old man, sustained contusion, mine-blast and closed head injuries. Doctors are currently conducting additional examinations to determine the extent of the injuries.

Among the victims is a 44-year-old resident of Kherson who sustained an explosive injury and lost the fingers of his right hand as a result of traumatic amputation.

In the central district of the city, a 55-year-old woman sustained a head injury, shrapnel wounds to her leg and mine-blast injuries during the shelling.

An 86-year-old resident of Kherson is also in the hospital with contusion, a closed head injury and shrapnel wounds.

It is also known about the deceased. A 60-year-old man who was in the building during the shelling received injuries incompatible with life.

Also, a 42-year-old man was taken to the hospital with contusion and a mine-blast injury.

Doctors continue to provide assistance to all victims, and the authorities urge residents to stay in shelters and not to ignore air raid warnings.

As a reminder, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said that Russia attacked Kherson from the temporarily occupied left bank.

Meanwhile, explosions were also heard in Kyiv as the occupiers fired rockets at the capital.
