Russia strikes Shostka — 12 high-rise buildings damaged
On Tuesday, December 31, Russia launched a missile attack on the city of Shostka, Sumy region. The destruction of infrastructure and residential multi-story buildings was recorded.

According to the mayor, the Russian attack destroyed some infrastructure facilities.
"12 multi-storey residential buildings, two educational institutions and other social facilities were damaged. Emergency rescue units are working. Damage and losses are being clarified," the statement said.
Noha emphasized that employees of all institutions work remotely, and children also study remotely.
"Please remain calm and do not ignore the air raid alarms. You need to stay in shelters. School children and nursery school children stay at home. Employees of all institutions are working remotely," summarized the mayor.
Also, according to the Regional Military Administration, at night and in the morning, Russian troops fired six times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy region. Six explosions were recorded as a result of the attacks. The Sveska community was also shelled.
We also wrote that Russian troops launched a missile attack on Kyiv on the morning of December 31. Air defense was operating in the capital, but the fragments of the downed missiles fell on a private building.
Prior to that, an air alert was announced throughout Ukraine. Explosions were heard in some cities.
