Russia lost another ammunition depot — locals complained of terrible explosions

An ammunition depot in Russia, 114 kilometers away from the Ukrainian border, burned during the night. The fire occurred near the town of Karachev, Bryansk region. Local residents complained of terrible explosions. 

Andrii Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Combating Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, reported this on Telegram on Wednesday, October 9. 

Strike on a military depot in the Bryansk region

According to Andrii Kovalenko, the closest to the front line, 67th Arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate was hit near the town of Karachev in the Bryansk region of Russia on the night of October 9. It is located only 114 kilometers away from the Ukraine's border.

"The warehouse stored ammunition, including from the North Korea, as well as guided aerial bombs. I should note that they were partially stored outdoors," said the head of the Center for Combating Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council.

As a reminder, the fire at the oil depot in Feodosia in the temporarily occupied Crimea, which began on the night of October 7, continues. Serhii Bratchuk said that new explosions were heard the night before. 

Earlier, Novyny.LIVE reported that a fire broke out at a private oil storage facility in the Perm region of the Russian Federation on the night of October 4. Flames engulfed fuel tanks.
