The army of the Russian Federation is losing its advantage at the frontline in the number of artillery shells. The reduction began in the winter of 2024, and occupier stocks have already decreased threefold compared to that period.

This was announced by the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk, at the telethon broadcast live.

What about the reserves of artillery ammunition in the Russian army

"Today, the ratio of the artillery ammunition use on the battlefield has decreased compared to the winter of 2024. The ratio was 1 to 8 back then. Now it is 1 to 3," Ivan Gavryliuk said on the telethon.

He also added that it is not easy for Ukraine to compete with Russia in the production of weapons, military equipment and ammunition, which is due to the fact that the Russian Federation has greater industrial potential.

"Our departments, the government and leadership of Ukraine are working hard to create joint ventures so that, in collaboration with our partners, we have the ability to produce the entire range of weapons and military equipment that we need," the official said.

Recently, the Defense Forces successfully destroyed two Russian weapon warehouses, which are among the three largest ammunition storage bases.

The director of "Ukrainian Armor" stated that the enterprise was offered to build a factory for the production of gunpowder, and explained how this would help in the production of ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The mass media also stated that India secretly supplies ammunition to Ukraine, even despite Moscow's threats.
