Night drone attack on Ukraine — Air Defense report
Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine on the night of November 25. The enemy launched Shahed-type attack drones and drones of an unspecified type.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
Shooting down Russian UAVs
The Air Force's radio engineering troops detected and escorted 145 enemy drones.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces were involved in repelling the Russian attack.
As of 11:00 a.m., air defense has shot down 71 occupiers drones in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Dnipro, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions.
Another 71 UAVs were lost, probably due to electronic warfare countermeasures. Another one flew towards Belarus.
"During the day (yesterday), on November 24, 2024, from 10.00 a.m. to 5.30 a.m., the enemy struck again with various types of drones, guided aerial bombs and X-59/69 guided air missiles. Since the enemy is constantly changing the tactics of using attack drones, the format of presenting information on the results of air defense operations may change. Previously, Shahed attacks were carried out only at night — in the dark. Now the enemy is using strike UAVs during the day as well," added the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a reminder, the invaders attacked several Ukrainian cities on November 25. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the attacks.
It is known that in Kharkiv, an enemy attack took place near the building of one of the city's district administrations.
