The units of Magura 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade, together with the adjacent forces of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, repelled a massive attack by Russian troops in Kursk region. The invaders attacked in several waves, using a large number of vehicles and personnel.

This was reported on the official website of the 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade on Thursday, January 9.

Details of the assault

It is noted that there were six waves of enemy attacks — in the first line, tanks with trawls were used to demine the passages.

In total, about 50 pieces of equipment took part in the offensive: tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, buggies, and Lancet attack drones.

All the units of Ukrainian soldiers acted in a coordinated manner as a single mechanism and inflicted significant losses on the enemy.

As a result, the enemy’s equipment for tens of millions of dollars was destroyed, including tanks, IFVs-2, BMDs, APCs, and buggies. Russian losses in manpower are as follows: 45 invaders were killed and 53 were wounded.

"We keep going!" added Magura.

As a reminder, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine has updated its own record. During an air battle off the coast of the temporarily occupied Crimea on December 31, the Ukrainian maritime drone Magura V5 destroyed two Russian helicopters.

We also reported that the soldiers of the Third Separate Assault Brigade are actively fighting at the front and recapturing enemy positions. They showed how they were clearing out the invaders’ "lairs" in Kharkiv region.
