Security Service of Ukraine targets an oil depot in Voronezh region of Russia with drones
Security Service of Ukraine successfully used drones to attack a Russian oil depot in the Voronezh region. There were 20 tanks of fuel and lubricants on the territory of the refinery.
This was reported to Novyny.LIVE by sources in the Security Service of Ukraine.
Russian Air Defense failed to protect the facility from Ukrainian drones
Last night of October 4, Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) drones, together with the Armed Forces, attacked the Annanefteprodukt oil depot near the village of Anna in Voronezh region. There were 20 tanks of fuel and lubricants on the territory of the depot.
Air Defense systems were operating in the area during the night. Locals on social media report they heard five powerful explosions as the drones struck. A massive fire broke out at the site.
"In addition to actively targeting Russian airfields, missile and guided aerial bombs depots, the SSU does not forget about oil depots on enemy territory. Depots are an important logistical component of warfare. The velvet season of "cotton" (Russian word "hlopok" which is consonant to the word "cotton" used in Russian media due to censorship of the word "explosions" — ed.) is in full swing," a source from the Security Service of Ukraine said.
As a reminder, a satellite image of the aftermath of the fire at the Proletarsk oil depot, which could not be extinguished for 16 days after the drone attack, was recently published online. Also in August, the Rosrezerv oil depot near the village of Astakhov in the Rostov region burned down. The fire was caused by a drone strike.
