A "dark day" for Russians in Kursk region — losses are enormous
In the Kursk region, Russians suffered losses in equipment and manpower after attempting to attack the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Those attackers who managed to survive scattered and hid in the woods after the failed offensive.
This was reported by Anastasia Blyshchyk, a spokeswoman for the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade, on the air of the United News telethon on Tuesday, November 12.
Russian losses in Kursk region
According to Blyshchyk, the situation in the Kursk region of Russia remains difficult but controlled, and there is no critical threat to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She also noted that the Russian occupiers carried out about five or six assault attacks using armored vehicles and airborne troops, trying to break through to the settlements.
"They tried to fly in with armored vehicles and troops and storm the settlements," Blyshchyk said.
The brigade spokeswoman added that the Ukrainian military destroyed 10 units of Russian armored vehicles, including three armored personnel carriers that exploded on mines, and the rest were destroyed using FPV drones and the Stugna anti-tank system. Adjacent units of Ukrainian troops also contributed to the destruction of enemy vehicles and the elimination of the invaders.
"The part that was lucky enough to survive scattered and hid somewhere in the wooden areas. That is, yesterday there was a failed assault by the Russian occupiers," summarized Blyshchyk.
Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier Kyrylo Sazonov told Ranok.LIVE that the enemy has been actively storming Ukrainian positions in the Kursk sector for three days in a row. The Ukrainian military has not lost any territory, but the situation is tense.
