"He held a meeting of the next State Defense Committee in Sumy Oblast. The two main issues that are closely related in this region, as well as in other front-line areas, are air defense and energy," the message stated.
The President was informed by the commander of the Air Force, Anatoliy Kryvonozhko, and the commander of the Eastern Air Command, Ivan Terebukha, regarding strengthening the defense of Sumy and other regions in particular.
He also listened to Minister Herman Galushchenko regarding the restoration of electricity supply in Sumy and the communities of the district, further protection of generation and distribution facilities, and preparation of backup equipment for the winter.
In addition, Oleksandr Syrskyy, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, reported on the general situation at the front line: the most difficult directions, the progress of the Kursk operation, the arrival of equipment and ammunition at the front line, and the completion of brigades.
"I thank everyone who is in Ukraine, with Ukraine, who fights and works for our country, who teaches our children, who protects our Ukrainian culture," Zelenskyy added.
It should be recalled that Zelenskyy's working trip to Sumy region began with a meeting with military personnel participating in the Kursk operation.
And yesterday, Zelenskyy met with the new head of NATO, Rutte. They discussed, in particular, defense support for Ukraine.
