President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi can influence the end of the war. According to him, he can be a mediator in the negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with the Times of India.

How Modi can influence the end of the war in Ukraine

"I believe that any issues today should not end with words alone. Modi is the prime minister of a very large country in terms of population and influence, and in terms of economy, etc... Such a country cannot simply say that it is interested in ending the war. We are all interested," the Ukrainian president said.

Zelenskyy emphasized that talks between Ukraine and Russia could take place with the mediation of the Indian prime minister. He also said that the next Peace Summit could be held in India.

"Undoubtedly, it can be in India, and Prime Minister Modi can really do it... but I think we need to get ready... And only in our format, because the war is on our land," added the head of state.

The last time Modi visited Ukraine was on August 23. Then he met with Zelenskyy and they signed a number of bilateral agreements.

During the Indian prime minister's visit, the Ukrainian president offered to host the second Peace Summit in India.
